1988 Chevy Van / School Bus

This is a chevy van style “short” school bus. the rear seats and wheelchair lift have been removed for starting to convert to an rv, but that’s as far as I got. It’s been sitting for about 3 mounths and needs a battery, but It ran good when parked. I do have the title, but its still regisered in the school’s name. I am unable to download pics at this time, but if you want any pics I can send via text message. If I can get my computer to cooperate with me I will download some pics.

This auction is for a 1998 Freightliner School Bus. It will cruise at highway speed and has strong acceleration. It is in very good condition overall but there are a few things to mention. There are two or three windows that had been shot at and have cracks in them. The glass is still intact just cracked. There is a headlight that appears to have been shot but the light still works. Also, the grille had a few pieces missing and some horses that graze where it was parked cracked it out worse so I took the grille out and glued it back together but I have not put it back. It will be included with the bus and the buyer can decide whether to replace it or not. These are all cosmetic things and not related to the mechanical condition at all. The last state inspection on this bus was for the 2009-2010 school year. I have owned this bus since Oct. 2011 and have not done anything with it other than keeping it running. I cannot verify if the odometer mileage is correct but if it is that is very low mileage for a diesel. The body plate inside the bus says year of manufacture is 1998 while the title says 1997 so I’m going with what is printed on the bus as 1998. Terms of Sale- This sale has no warranties expressed or implied. Bus sold “as is.” Winning bidder is expected to pay for and take possession. Buyer is responsible for vehicle license tags. Location of pickup is Royal, Arkansas. I will help the buyer in whatever possible way in making transportation arrangements. If you fly into Little Rock I will pick you up at the airport and take you to the bus. Clear title in hand. Payment must in full at time of pickup in cash, US Postal money order, cashier’s check, or personal check. If paying by personal check I need to receive it at 10 days before the buyer takes possession. Bus needs to be picked up within 14 days of the end of auction however I will be out of the country from May 31 until June 9 and will not be able to complete the sale during this time.
