This is a chevy van style “short” school bus. the rear seats and wheelchair lift have been removed for starting to convert to an rv, but that’s as far as I got. It’s been sitting for about 3 mounths and needs a battery, but It ran good when parked. I do have the title, but its still regisered in the school’s name. Up for sale is one of my Setra Buses. ( Unit 843 ) It is a 96 Model Year – 215 Model with 49 Passenger seating ( plus driver ) It is a 40 footer, and therefore can get into tighter areas. I will do the best I can to describe it. Please come see it for yourself. It is used & will therefore be sold as is. We run a fleet consisting exclusively of these buses. They are made in Germany by Daimler Bus, they are reliable, and parts are inventoried in NC & FL for quick turnaround. I have a 45 foot Setra also available. Most of our fleet was purchased specifically for a long term contract which has now ended. We brought all of these buses up to standard, repairing any and all defects discovered. We are in FL, ALL A/C’s work well. All compressors were replaced or rebuilt. This one Runs Well, shifts well, cools well, handles well. Fleet is just too large without the contract. At this price our loss will truly be your gain. Restroom, DVD, Stereo. Detroit Series 60, and Allison Trans. Engine starts right up, transmission shifts as it should, Airs up, etc. Very strong. We ran it Jacksonville to West Florida many times. I would not hesitate to put a driver in it & send it anywhere. The buses were in service all day for this contract, seven days a week. This was picked to be among the first to go exclusively due to age and length. We do not need a 49 passenger, and It is among the oldest in the fleet. We never intended to keep it beyond this contract. Odometer on this one shows 700k plus. I have no reference if it is even the original odometer, so ?? actual. Over 10 years so exempt either way. Fuel gauge is inop. Seat Covers way too nice to be original in this one, but they had been replaced prior to purchase. Fuel gauge not working. DVD Not playing on TV’s. I Think it is a power issue. All were functional while under contract. We will trouble shoot and repair at buy it now price. DVD Player & Stereo do work. New DOT Inspection 4/24/2012 Tires are all ok. Steers new FS100 Firestones. Seats pretty good but back row doesn’t match ( see Photo ) . The vehicle is currently based in Jacksonville, FL for inspection.
