1989 GMC Ward Volunteer 35 passenger bus. The body of this bus is in excellent condition for it’s age and is straight and rust free. All of the glass is also excellent. The interior although not perfect is also in very nice condition. All six tires are Goodyear brand with substantial tread. Recently this bus had the brakes replaced all the way around, the carbuator replaced with a new Webber, a new battery, and a new tailpipe. All of standard accessories like lights, warning signals, heaters, wipers, defroster, etc appear to all be functioning as they should. The fire extinguisher, safety flare kit, first aid kit, and the hazardous spill kit are still in place. The bus is also equipped with a commercial hitch reciever and wired to pull a trailer. The mileage is 134,XXX and is powered by a gas 366CI big block V8, and automatic transmission which was replaced about one year ago. The engine always starts, sounds good and does not smoke, but loses power under a load. When the brakes are applied there is a noise that sounds like a vacuum leak and that is thought to be the problem but I have no docmentation to verify that. The air emmission pump is also currently disconnected. Due to the current mechanical condition the buyer may want to consider having this vehicle delivered depending on location. The bus comes with a good Missouri prior salvage title and I do not have the history on the prior salvage and there is no visual evidence of the bus ever being damaged or repaired. This is a very nice vehicle that could have a variety of possibilities, tailgate party bus, motorcycle or ATV hauler, on site mobile workshop, flea market vehicle, carpet hauler, and the list goes on. The winning bidder will not be disappointed in this purchase and the reserve is set very reasonable for the quality of this vehicle. I have tried to decribe this bus to the best of my ability but have probably missed something that you would like to know, if so just ask. I have a really nice one owner MCI 102 A3 bus with wheel chair lift above rear tires. This bus has been in central California all it’s life and very well maintained. 40 foot 102 inches wide 6 foot 7 inches headroom 41 reclining seats (49 if lift removed) factory restroom, air step, 8V92 Detroit Diesel turbo with auto trans, power steering, air brakes cruise control, self leveling air ride, 3 large storage bays. runs great, ready to drive away today. current registration, clean CA title. This bus would be great as a charter bus, or team bus, limo or RV motorhome conversion, and with the chair lift, or just having the large door in the back, opens up lots of usage. 1987 40-foot Prevost Le Mirage XL converted by Williams’ Coach in 2007One third of the stainless panels were replaced and polished. New front and rear stainless bumpers. Upgraded headlights. All markers, stop, tail, and directional lights changed to LED. Painted sections are Imron with Imron clear coat. Wipers are electric with delay. Detroit 8V92 turbo with out of frame rebuild by Detroit diesel certified shop in 2011. Three thousand five hundred miles on rebuild. Detroit certified warranty. Engine equipped with Jake brake and 175-amp alternator for house batteries. 275 amps. Engine alternator. Engine has Prevost electric aux. fuel pump for priming and emergency. Has automatic Allison trans. Coach has 285 gallon fuel tank. Coach has six new Firestone 315.80/22.5 tires with mfg. date January/February 2011. Tag axel tires 3 1/2 years old. Drive and steer tires have 4000 miles. Tires are always covered when not being used. Front and drive axels have Centramatic Balancers. All wheels have stainless covers. Coach has air-leveling system with double pointer gauges representing each wheel. Engine has six group 31 sealed batteries charged by engine alternator and 3000-watt trace inverter/charger with inside remote. All cables are 4/0. Coach has four group 31 house batteries charged by aux. alternator and converter. Coach has 15 kW Martin generator with turbo completely factory rebuilt with 25 hours. Mounted on 100% slide out. Generator is wired for 240 volts and has remote radiator, and is mounted in a “hush” compartment. Coach is heated by an Aqua Hot factory refurbished in 2007. Coach has three zone heating with three thermostats. System is plumbed with Pex tubing and is designed to supply extra heat to defroster. Coach has 105-gallon fresh water tank, 85 gallon gray tank and 85 gallon black tank. Bay with tanks is heated and has a low temperature thermostat and temperature gauge inside coach to monitor temperature. Dump system equipped with Sealand marine macerator. Fresh water system has Par belt driven pump and pex tubing with manifold. Coach has one and one half bays empty. Coach has three Penguin air conditioners. The front A.C. unit will run off the 24-volt inverter as long as bus engine is running. The inverter also powers a built in icemaker when shore power is not available. The engine compartment is protected by an automatic fire suppression system (cold fire) with a dash-mounted monitor. All fuel system lines were replaced at the time of conversion and all engine water hoses were replaced with silicone hose. Also a new radiator with cooling spray was installed along with a new muffler. The dash is equipped with gauges to monitor all systems including fuel pressure. Entrance door is equipped with an air lock and dead bolt air lock. Coach has a Zip Dee Awning. Driver’s and co-pilot seats are ultra leather and co-pilot seat has power footrest. All inside lights are LED with separate dimmers. Coach is equipped with separate AC and DC marine breakers panels with volt and amp meters. Every circuit is protected by an individual breaker. Coach is equipped with corian counter tops and corian table. Kitchen has built in ice maker (Uline) and a hot water dispenser. All cabinets are lighted. Coach has an unusually large bath with $800.00 surface mount basin. All shades are pleated day, night. Coach has pull out Flexsteel sofa in front and twin beds in the rear. Coach has laminate flooring with “Fatmax” insulating material throughout. All electrical wiring (AC and DC) is accessible. Coach has KVH satellite for Direct TV and Sony DVD player. Has front and rear TV, and is designed to watch separate programs on each TV. Coach has a remote controlled floodlight and a Voyager system with rear motorized camera. Towels and decorative accessories do not go with the coach. In case of an emergency if driver should become incapacitated, the person in the co-pilot’s seat has a protected monentary switch within arms reach that if activated would shut the engine off, apply the air brakes, and turn on the stop lights simultaneously. The engine could then be restarted as usual. The coach is ready to drive anywhere with no worries. We are selling due to age and the feeling we should not be driving something this large.
